The German road traffic regulations do not permit parking spaces and stopping bays to be reserved in public traffic areas for the vehicles of diplomatic missions or consular posts. If the mission or other properties used by the mission for which approval of use has been granted are in a parking management zone, it is possible to apply for exemption from parking fees for official vehicles.

It is also possible to request that a traffic sign be installed in front of the embassy or consular premises, demarcating a zone for the loading and unloading of persons and materials. Applications can be submitted informally to the competent Senate Department:
